When most people picture a stay at home mom they picture the classic soccer mom in her velour track suit with children dancing around her, perhaps even driving a mini-van. This is the image that most conjure up but when you meet Holly Mann you’ll realize that a stay at home mom can also be a very driven, financially successful person. Holly Mann has become somewhat of a hero for a lot of stay at home moms out there, and for good reason. She was able to overcome the odds and through hard work and determination to provide a good life for her son, she became a millionaire.
Holly Mann was working as a contract worker in Baghdad for some time when she finally returned to the United States. She didn’t know it, but when she returned to the United States she would start down a path that would be tough, but would change her life for the better. Soon Mann would find herself pregnant and single. When her son was born she was living in her brother’s home and wondering if she was ever going to be able to make ends meet. Being a single parent is never easy and Holly was desperate to make something of herself and give her son the life she thought he deserved.
Mann came across some websites that were selling for $5,000 and more a piece and she wondered why she couldn’t make the same sort of money. In no time Holly was selling her own websites but still wasn’t making enough money. Determined to be a success and be home to raise her own son, she decided that she needed to lower her cost of living. Holly had been an exchange student in Thailand for a time and she knew the cost of living was considerably less. Taking a leap of faith Mann sold all of her belongings and she and her son moved to Thailand.
When she got to Thailand Mann continued her website building and internet marketing schemes and in just a few months time she was pulling in $12,000 a month and was now able to lead the life that she had hoped she could give her son. Holly Mann became a millionaire, and though it hadn’t been easy and there had been times where she had been hungry and broke, she had worked hard and now could put those days behind her.
Mann wanted to share her success with others so she wrote an eBook entitled Thanks Rich Jerk in which she shared her marketing genius. She later updated the book and re-titled it Honest Riches. Her book and her success have proven that a stay at home mom can be anything she wants to be, even a millionaire.
